![]() Chloe is visited by her biggest fan, AJ. This three-legged bundle of energy brings a smile to everyone’s face and was a welcome addition to the day. |

In
preparation for today’s grueling group ride, our mini-princess takes a short
siesta in the lobby underneath a poster. |
|
|
![]() We were flabbergasted at the sheer number of guys and gals that joined us today for our ride. This was, by far, the largest group of people that has saddled up and headed off into the wild, blue yonder (or around the block in Morgantown) with us. |

HealthSouth enlisted the support of the local police department and we thoroughly enjoyed stopping traffic for a short time! They did a great job of getting us all around the block safely and we appreciated their service. |

Joe
and AJ lead the group back into HealthSouth and both wonder where the heck
Doc has gone off to. They both assume that he found a Dunkin’ Donuts
somewhere along the route and was led astray by the coffee siren’s song.

3 hours and 45 minutes later, Doc finally glided in to the facility escorted by Bryanna and Karin… who had come to his rescue after he bit the dust. One rubbed his leg and the other was about to start mouth-to-mouth resuscitation when the policeman that was following them broke up the party. AJ and Joe eyed Doc suspiciously when he rode up looking like the cat that ate the canary and still refuse to believe that Doc’s boo-boo was accidental. |

Everyone took pleasure in the post-ride feast and the enjoyable temperatures in the shade of the tent. Really, we couldn’t ask for a warmer welcome from our friends in Morgantown. |

Dixie
and Galford were two of the many shining stars of the day! Both amputees,
they are hard at work building their strength and the morale of the other
patients in therapy. These two troublemakers help ensure that others are
working as hard as they are and that’s a tall order! |
|
|
Jeremy
put up with AJ for only long enough to get a poster. He then promptly burned
rubber and left her in the dust. Keep fighting, Jeremy!

Our
thanks to Vickie Demers, CEO, and Ginger Dearth, DMO who has given us such
wonderful support. We hope we did not traumatize Sydney and Caroline
too badly with our stories. Thank you to Robin Butler for allowing us
to talk with the patients and special thanks to Bryanna Ordiway, Karin
Savage, Molly, and others for all their efforts to make our visit a great
success. Thank you to your staff for their infectious enthusiasm which
paid dividends in patient interest in our message. Your generous
support and your love of healing is self evident in everything you do with
the patients. We hope to see you again in 2012. |
